Fundraising for Cardiff & Vale Health Charity
Gaynor was always smiling. Even after the shock of being diagnosed with an incurable and rare form of blood cancer called Myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS) in January 2018, her smile still shone as she lived with her aggressive illness. Her positive attitude to life was infectious and admirable right up until she passed away suddenly on August 31st 2020. The Haematology Department at the University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff became a second home to Gaynor, and the meticulous care and friendly support she received undoubtedly contributed to her remarkable quality of life living with blood cancer for over two and half years. In recognition of the excellent care and treatment provided by all staff throughout Gaynor's illness, we wish to raise donations in memory of our beautiful Mam and wife, to assist others facing a similar experience.Roedd Gaynor wastad yn gwenu. Hyd yn oed ar ôl y sioc o gael diagnosis o fath prin, anwelladwy o gancr y gwaed o'r enw Myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS) ym mis Ionawr 2018, parhaodd ei gwên i ddisgleirio wrth iddi fyw gyda'i salwch creulon. Bu ei hagwedd gadarnhaol, ysbrydoledig at fywyd yn destun edmygedd hyd nes iddi farw'n sydyn ar 31ain Awst 2020. Roedd Uned Haematoleg Ysbyty Athrofaol Cymru, Caerdydd, fel ail gartref i Gaynor, ac, heb os, cyfranodd y gofal diwyd a'r gefnogaeth gyfeillgar a gafodd at ansawdd bywyd rhyfeddol tra'n byw gyda chancr y gwaed am ddwy flynedd a hanner. I gydnabod y gofal a'r driniaeth ragorol a ddarparwyd gan yr holl staff drwy gydol salwch Gaynor, hoffem godi arian er cof am Fam a gwraig hyfryd, i gefnogi eraill sy'n wynebu profiad tebyg.
