Story
Throughout Elaine's life, she was always doing things for other people. She loved children and children loved her. She was a teacher and most people will remember Elaine through the 37 years that she devoted to the Southampton Wind Band with husband David. She could 'crack the whip' but she was also a mother to so many young people going through difficult times. Elaine was very sadly diagnosed with cancer in June 2022 and in the final week of her most precious life, was admitted to the Rowans Hospice in Purbrook. The hospice are a charity hospital and rely on the support of donations to fund the very kind and caring work they do. In typical form, Elaine cracked the whip there too through her final moments.
Elaine chose to be laid to rest privately but it was always her mission in life to do things for other people and donations raised will support Rowans Hospice in being there for other people in the future.
