We provide support to asylum seekers in Northumberland, UK

Story

In memory of the one and only Rebecca Mack, we are fundraising for Northumberland County of Sanctuary (NCOS).

Becca was a big supporter of NCOS and made many donations. We all know she was a kind-hearted person who could make anybody feel welcome; it didn't matter who you are or where you're from, you were getting a big hug and a lovely chat. Her skill of making people feel valued and at ease is legendary!

In that spirit, we'd like to take the opportunity to make sure people continue to be welcome to this beautiful part of the world, by raising some money for NCOS.

NCOS is run entirely by volunteers and is a registered charity. Their aim is to make sure people seeking asylum are welcome, safe and supported as they settle in to their new communities in Northumberland. NCOS supports people by organising drop-in sessions, Women's Group, trips during school holidays, sports and much more. They work closely with community partners to help people to access the Red Cross, schools, healthcare and English lessons.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

RCN 1185663
Northumberland County of Sanctuary is a charity run by a small group of dedicated volunteers. NCOS supports people as they navigate the challenging asylum process and settle in to their new homes across Northumberland. Our aim is to empower people who are often marginalised, vulnerable or misunderstood, and to promote inclusion in the wonderful communities of Northumberland. We hold a weekly women's groups and drop-in sessions in partnership with the British Red Cross, and regular 'meet and eat's, football matches and days out during school holidays. We also do our best to procure bicycles, furniture and all the other things people need in their new homes.
