Story
Hi everyone,
As some of you know, at the end of November I lost my lovely Dad to cancer. His loss left a hole in the lives of everyone that knew and loved him. Dads smile and wicked sense of humour were contagious and he was generous to a fault, having time for everyone. When he was diagnosed last August, despite being so unwell, he never stopped fighting. Right until the day he died he insited on sitting up and being with his family. Although Dad was fighting this horrendous and cruel disease, he was able to live his final days at home surrounded by his family. This wouldn't have been possible without the support of St Barnabas. Their support meant we could focus on spending time with Dad in his last days, whilst they made sure he was comfortable and looked after. They also provided mental health support to myself and my family, which is ongoing. Nothing prepares you for the loss of a loved one and without St Barnabas we'd have never of gotten through it.
So! To thank them and celebrate my Dad's tenacity, I am participating in man vs Mountain. A 22 mile race up a mountain (and back). To provide some context on the enormity of this challenge, I currently struggle to run up the stairs. So I have 4 months to get into shape and run up (and down) Wales's iconic landmark.

Any donation will be gratefully received. Not only will each donation go towards helping terminally ill patients and their families, but will also encourage me to push just that little bit harder.
I am pretty sure my Dad would think I'm crazy... A trait I'm certain I got from him.
