Story
Rachael's Meow-a-thon (Marathon...geddit?! * ba dum tssch* )
5 years ago I shocked my friends and family by declaring I was going to get fit and do a 1/2 Marathon. I did it. It was painful, and emotional and hateful. I did not catch the running bug and never wanted to run again.
Much to the astonishment of everyone I recently declared I have entered the Brighton Marathon in 2019 & will fund raise for the Cats Protection Ipswich Centre. And here's why:
Why run again? and Why a MARATHON?!
Because since the 1/2 marathon I have put on so much weight and gone through a lot of mental health issues, I have tried relentlessly to pick myself up and start exercising & eating healthily, but I am weak and couldn't ever stick to anything & would get more depressed and would then eat more of the wrong things etc etc vicious cycle.
So on a day when I was feeling enthusiastic I decided I needed to do something drastic so & bought a place and told people before I chickened out - Now there is no going back & I have a solid reason I have to be motivated and dedicated.
Why Cats Protection Ipswich?
A few years ago we got a little kitty (Newt) to keep our other cat (Ripley) company. We got her from the Cats protection in Ipswich and the whole process was a delight; the people were great, the procedure was smooth & the help and advice was also just wonderful. So I want to give back to them. The kitten we rescued is in picture.
PLEASE donate and help me raise ££ by losing lbs
