I'm swimming in the sea pretty much every day from 1 September to New Year's Eve. I'll aim to do it from the naturist beach at Brighton wearing no more than swim gloves and socks... brrrr.
If it's too rough I'll swim at Shoreham harbour where it's pretty safe all year... but in swim pants as Shoreham is a sensitive place.
I'm doing it to raise money for the RNLI. They are an amazing service and have had far more to do these last two years. And, if nothing else, they have irritated Nigel Farage.
I'll swim every day that it's safe and possible - if I'm ill or its too rough, I'm not going to risk my own safety. It's a bit more tricky for me as, after a 3rd spine operation that went badly, I've been left with lots of nerve problems in my right leg. These mean that I can't really control what it's doing while I'm swimming, I get lots of pain and cramps - so I'm quite cautious of the sea!
As well as donating, it'd be great if you can share this with your friends etc - big thanks! Xx

The RNLI say of themselves - "Too many people are drowning. More than ever we need the RNLI’s help. As a charity, the RNLI depends on donations so it can go on saving lives and keeping us and our loved ones safe. RNLI lifesavers are our lifeline. They’re the lifeboat crews who provide 24-hour search and rescue around the UK and Ireland. The lifeguards keeping watch on 240 of the busiest beaches in the UK and Channel Islands. And the RNLI safety teams and educators working tirelessly to stop people getting into trouble in the first place.Thank you.
