15,000 foot Skydive - 22 April 2018 · 22 April 2018 ·

When You Wish Upon a Star are a charity whose aim is to grant the Wishes of children between the ages of 4 to 16 years old living with life threatening illnesses. Whatever the Wish, wherever possible, we will aim to make that Wish come true. Please help us grant these magical Wishes

Story

On 5 November 2017 I attended the When You Wish Upon a Star Charity Skydive as the Mayor of North Lincolnshire to wish well all of the Skydivers taking part that day in support of the charity.

Having spoken to everyone following their jumps, they all said they would definitely do it again and it was an amazing experience and after hearing those comments I thought to myself, I can do that!

I changed my mind a few times but finally filled in the form and sent it off to book my place. As they say "there's no going back now"

I am taking on the challenge of a 15,000ft Skydive for my chosen charity to help raise more funds and enable more children to have their wishes come true.

Every year there are more children diagnosed with a terminal or life-threatening illness which turns their lives and their families lives upside down.

When You Wish Upon a Star offer these children opportunities of something to look forward to at times when they need it the most. They provide a chance for families to spend quality time together, creating very special and treasured memories.

I am appealing to all of my friends, family and colleagues for your help so that I can reach or even exceed my fundraising target of £375 which will help towards making another very special dream come true for a deserving wish child locally.
