Having recovered from a procedure to fix my fast, erratic heart rate (thank you our wonderful NHS!), I am back on my bike and wanting to raise money for The Great North Air Ambulance which is the chosen charity of this year's Chairman of Durham County Council - Councillor Bill Kellett.

The challenge will be to ride from the West Coast at Arnside to the East Coast at Seaton Carew which is around 100 miles, in a day!

Members and friends of Trimdon Cycling Club will undertake the challenge on Friday 22nd September 2017.

We will also be joined by two of my County Council colleagues - David Shipman and Andrew Gilmore who have supported me on many previous cycling challenges as well as Trimdon Cycling Secretary Hugh Bence.
