Story
Having recovered from a procedure to fix my fast, erratic heart rate (thank you our wonderful NHS!), I am back on my bike and wanting to raise money for The Great North Air Ambulance which is the chosen charity of this year's Chairman of Durham County Council - Councillor Bill Kellett.
The challenge will be to ride from the West Coast at Arnside to the East Coast at Seaton Carew which is around 100 miles, in a day!
Members and friends of Trimdon Cycling Club will undertake the challenge on Friday 22nd September 2017.
We are delighted to have received sponsorship support from Croner - provider of Out-Sourced Human Resources, Employment Law and Health and Safety across the country and Fleet Recruitment - the North East's premier recruitment agency. Neil O'Connor, Fleet's Managing Director said 'We are pleased to be supporting this worthy cause and I have decided to take the plunge and do the ride myself!' We will also be joined by two of my County Council colleagues - David Shipman and Andrew Gilmore who have supported me on many previous cycling challenges as well as Trimdon Cycling Secretary Hugh Bence.
So please dig deep and support this most worthy of causes - none of us know when the Great North Air Ambulance might be needed for ourselves or our friends and family.
