To commemorate the 100th anniversary of the signing of the Armistice that ended the hostilities of WW1. I am spending 18 days walking around France and Belgium starting at the glade of Armistice, I am walking through the battlefields of the Somme, Vimy Ridge, Mons and then along the line of the western front at the end of the hostilities through France ending in Verdun. A total of 250 miles (403 km).
During the walk, I'll visit the Graves or memorials to 411,768 soldiers of all nations (at 51 different locations) including the Graves of the last British, Canadian, French and American Soldiers to be killed during WW1 (all killed on the last day within minutes of the ceasefire)
