Story
At Pave-Aways we're always up for a challenge. For our fundraising event this year we aim to conquer our own home county of Shropshire, so we're going on Safari!
The Pave-Aways Shropshire Safari is a combined challenge. It will cover both the Northern and Southern loops of The Shropshire Way. We aim to do a figure of eight, with Shrewsbury at the centre, walking 85 miles in three days around the South of the county, and cycling 70 miles in a day around the North. To add to the difficulty, and enhance the fun, we will be dressed in animal attire, native and non-native species.
We're looking forward to dressing up, having a laugh and taking in some of the most beautiful countryside Shropshire has to offer. However, there is a purpose to all the silliness. The Midlands Air Ambulance does an amazing job, saving lives all over Shropshire and surrounding counties. These guys really are heroes, and if we can help out by raising a few quid for their charity then all the effort and sweat will be worth it. We anticipate a decent amount of sweat, walking and cycle in nice warm, think, furry animal costumes.
If you are able to, and want to show some support to us and the Midlands Air Ambulance then please donate what you can. It'll be a huge boost to all taking part if we hit our target, and any amount no matter how big or small will make a difference.
Further information on our route and the people (and animals) taking part will be posted closer to the date. Thank you to all that donate and make our pain worthwhile.
