Story

Fun Family 5 is back and Oscar will be taking part for the second year running. This 5km sponsored walk will take place on Saturday 16th June 2018. Your sponsors will help to raise money for sick children on Ward 15 at Birmingham Children’s Hospital.

Oscar’s Story

Oscar was diagnosed with Rhabdomyosarcoma, a rare form of cancer in June last year. Since diagnosis, Oscar has received 13 sessions of gruelling chemotherapy, undergone surgery and in February this year traveled to Essen in Germany for six weeks of Proton Therapy.
Oscar is an amazing little boy with incredible strength and courage, nothing fazes him. He is an inspiration to everyone he meets.
Please show your support by sponsoring Oscar and help to make a difference to the lives of other children fighting cancer.

About the charity

It's bewildering and unsettling for anyone going into hospital but especially for children and that is why we are a fundraising hospital. We raise funds to enhance the experience of our patients by providing state of the art medical equipment and facilities and creating a child-friendly environment.
