Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.  It's a bit of a long story but worth a read to understand why they are worthy of a donation x 

On the 21 October both Nic and Michaela will be at the starting line of the Great South Run and we would love it if we could somehow smash our target! 

Anyone who knows us knows that our children have amazing quirks and abilities - but also need a lot of support to reach their potential.  Over the past few years we have been through so much heartache with the children and have gone through battles that no parent should, with every system going to try and get ALL of our children the help they need.  
Our eldest son especially, who was overlooked when he was younger was struggling greatly and as a family we were at breaking point.  

Following on from people's kindness we were able to get the ball rolling by paying for private assessments and last year we had all the paperwork and evidence needed to prove Daniel's needs and St Catherine's offered him a placement at their school.

Our young man has blossomed so much there, with their support and understanding he has become the Daniel we remember and love and I cannot thank them enough for helping him find his way again.  We are not scared for his future anymore and we know that finally his needs are being met.  

This September our younger son Nathan has also started the school, and once again they are providing something that no mainstream school could.  

The school is a magical place (imagine a scaled down version of Hogwarts!) full of love, laughter and music!  They deserve every penny that is donated to them as they help so very many children with Special needs and disabilities.  

Last year we signed up for the Great South Run but as the year went on it became obvious training wasn't going to plan - Michaela was then diagnosed with Type 3 Ehler Danlos Syndrome (We'll let you google that), which explained exactly why running was a no-go …. But! …. There are still two places with our names on it and we will be there!  We may not run the entire thing but we can run, limp, walk, crawl or even piggyback!  We will complete the 10 miles of the GSR on Sunday 21 October one way or another!  ….. So please please please, should you have any spare pennies please send them our way to support not just our children, but all the other Daniel, Nathan's and Charlotte's that St Catherine's give the best start in life to x
