Story

So its my mums birthday on the 23rd August and she would have been 59 years old. So I have decided to challenge myself to 59 sets of Armley Park 161 Killer Stairs. Those that see my fitness posts will know that I love running up and down stairs to keep fit but I have only ever done a max of 20 sets. I will be wearing my 7.5kg weighted vest and I aim to complete it in under 3 hours.

I will be raising money for Wheatfields Hospice, who helped my mum during her illness. For those that don't know my mum was diagnosed with Bowel Cancer in 2016, she underwent a major operation and got the all clear. 2018 my mum had a scan and her results revealed the cancer was back and in 3 places. This time we was told there was nothing more they could do. My mum suffered horrendous pain during her illness and it wasn't until the End of Life Care team took over her care that she started to get some relief. They were absolutely fantastic and we couldn't thank them enough. My mum was so strong and was determined to keep fighting. 9th July 2019 she lost her battle with this horrible disease.

So now I want to give something back by raising money for them, which will help other families that are going through similar experiences, we as a family did.

Due to Covid 19 charity's like Wheatfields have really suffered and I really want to help them. If you would like to donate please use the link below.
