Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Please help by sponsoring me online to run the 2004 London Marathon on 18 April.

Your sponsorship will go to paying for research into Neurocanthocytosis (NA). NA is a rare disease which can affect the brain of people in their mid 20's who find walking, talking and eating increasingly difficult.

Alexandra Irvine, the daughter of my colleague Glenn, suffers from NA. Glenn is raising £75000 (in addition to £50000 already donated by friends and medical charities) to pay for a research programme into the disease. The research may also shed light on other related diseases such as Alzheimer's and Parkinson's.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: John Grooms will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

Many thanks for your support.
