I am a 14 year old school girl from Greater Manchester and on 11th November 2017. I will be having my long hair cut and will be donating around 12 inches of my hair to the Little Princess Trust.
The trust provides real hair wigs to boys and girls throughout the UK and Ireland that have lost their own hair through cancer treatment.
The trust was set up in memory of Hannah Tarplee, a little girl from Hereford who sadly lost her short battle with cancer in June 2005. Hannah’s parents found it difficult to obtain a suitable wig in a child’s size so had one specially made for Hannah but this was very expensive. During Hannah’s illness many friends and family wanted to donate money to help and send her on a special holiday, but sadly this did not happen.
After Hannah died her parents set up the charity with the support of her school and friends so that as many children as possible who needed a wig would benefit and receive a real hair wig free of charge.
The hair cut will take place at Peace & Pout in Worsley.
The wigs cost between £350 - £500 to make and a donation however big or small to help me reach my target will be very much appreciated.
