As Mayor of Oldham for 2017-2018 I am delighted to be supporting Maggie's as one of my chosen local charities. 

On Saturday 5th May I'm facing my fears and taking to the skies to Skydive for Maggie's. I'd love your support to give me the extra push I need to make the jump! 

Maggie's Oldham provides free practical and emotional support to people with cancer and their family and friends, following the ideas about cancer care originally laid out by Maggie Keswick Jencks.

Maggie's Oldham is a place for people with cancer and their families and friends to and practical advice about benefits and eating well; a place where qualified experts provide emotional support and courses focused on getting started with cancer treatment and on practical tips and techniques to adjusting to life once treatment is finished.  
Importantly, Maggie's is a place to meet other people in a similar situation to you or simply sit quietly with a cup of tea at their kitchen table. 

Maggie's Oldham is a really special place offering vital support to people affected by cancer.
