I have spent the last 3 decades celebrating “0” and “5” birthdays by growing my hair and beard, and then having it all shaved off for charity. I anticipate that my upcoming 85th birthday will be my last real opportunity to do this, so I am giving it one last go, and have been wearing odd socks every day for the last year as a talking point to raise awareness of the challenge.

All funds raised will go to the Rotary Club of Keighley Charity - who will use the money to support Action for Children in Yorkshire, and Rotary International’s End Polio Now campaign (the donations passed on to EPN will be match funded on a 2:1 basis by The Gates Foundation - so this can really make a difference).

I believe that previous Headshaves have raised over £75,000 for the charities - it would be fantastic if I can get to over £85,000 for my 85th birthday.
