I have always run and growing up around Chasewater the canals were always a key part of my routes. To have lost such huge amounts of this network is detrimental to ours and future generations. The canals are essential wildlife corridors linking rural ecosystems through built up areas. To be able to restore just some of this transport heritage will produce an increase in leisure and amenity facilities for us, our children and their children.
