NOMAN Mediterranean ocean rowing races. · 17 July 2021 to 30 July 2021 ·

NOMAN raises awareness of the HPV-related cancer epidemic in men and women, and campaigns for gender-neutral HPV vaccination. HPV is the causal agent of 5% of cancer, and we can prevent these simply by vaccinating both boys and girls against HPV.

Story

Once bitten twice shy, well, not this time. I attempted this 200 Nautical mile race back in 2021 but had to pull out for Medical reasons.

With 5 weeks until race day, I have been offered the chance of competing again. This time, I will race from Ibiza to Barcelona in a team of 4. We will row in 2 hour shifts around the clock for roughly 4-5 days and nights. Better get training!

the challenge is about raising money for NOMAN as much as it is about mental and physical endurance.

NOMAN Raises awareness about the Human Papillomavirus (HPV) related cancer epidemic in men and women, and campaigns for universal HPV vaccination, while challenging participants to extreme endurance races across the world. HPV is the causal agent of 5% of cancer, yet the vast majority of people remain unaware of the link between the two outside of cervical cancer. We can prevent these cancers simply by vaccinating both boys and girls against HPV. The HPV-vaccine is a cancer preventing vaccine, and presents the greatest opportunity we've had to prevent cancer in decades. 41 countries now protect both boys and girls against HPV. We won't stop until every country is doing so.

Thank you for your support in my race and for joining me in the fight to end HPV!

All the best, Mark
