Story
3 years ago I started to raise money for the amazing East Cheshire Hospice I managed to raise £1000 some of the money on this page - https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/lucy-coppack
I have started a new page to continue my fundraising.
My total aim is to raise £7500 for East Cheshire Hospice. This is how much it costs a day to run the Hospice.
So why am I doing this..
My mum sadly passed away in East Cheshire Hospice over 20 years ago. East Cheshire Hospice are amazing at supporting patients and families through the tough times. My memories of being in ECH aren't sad, they are happy, I can remember playing with tea sets and doll houses. Laughing in the rooms and how friendly the staff were.
The care for the families continues after the unfortunate passing of a loved one. All the staff are fantastic and I really want to help the hospice in the way they helped me and my family.
Last year I pushed my little legs to the limit and ran a half marathon after it had been cancelled on the day. But I went out and did it anyone. The support was amazing and I'm so grateful for all the funds I've raised so far.
So here I am again... Same time of year and what's harder than a half marathon? A triathlon, i managed to complete the Triathlon in 1'C weather, multiple snow storms and freezing cold water!
I'm really hoping that this challenge I set out to do won't be cancelled due to the pandemic. 🤞
I am currently completing all 88 Trig points in the Peak District, Walked or Ran.. as long as its on foot. Each starting point is at a local town or village centre.. some are miles away from the actual Trig point so its no easy task.
I am aiming to complete all 88 in a 88 days!
This is over 35,000m climb which is like climbing Everest over 4 times! Its not been done and recorded by many people before. I've only found a few people who have done all 88. This is a huge challenge, meaning I will have to do around 50 journeys in 3 months. All will be done on foot, some ran, some walked.
Please help me in reaching my goal!
