Story
Donna Adlam, Michael Gould, George Cowan and I are travelling from Loughborough to Mallorca, a distance of 1147
miles (involving cycling 1000 miles with the rest on 2 ferry Journeys) over 11 days.
We will be climbing over a lot of hills including the Pyrenees
mountain range. In total we will be climbing an elevation of 52,000 feet –
which is twice the height of Mount Everest.
We will start our journey at the Rainbows hospice in Loughborough
on May 14th and hope to arrive in Mallorca 11 days later.
We will have to carry all our clothes and spares etc. in bike bags
as this is a self-supported challenge (meaning there is no car or van to carry
anything or provide support).
This challenge is completely self-funded by ourselves meaning that
every penny you donate will go to help this amazing charity.
This may sound a tough challenge but in comparison to the work
that the staff at Rainbows do it pails into insignificance.
Please support us in our efforts to raise money for this awesome
charity. Every penny you donate to help us reach our target will help motivate
us to keep pedalling (approximately 750,000 pedal strokes!!)
