I am doing this challenge on behalf of my mother in law, my mum number 2, Maureen Kellett, or Lil Mo as everyone knew her. Who passed away on the 18th February 2020 from Cancer.

I've known I wanted to do something in her memory and have recently been inspired by Radio 1's Sport Relief efforts to climb the height of Mt Everest on my stairs at home - I feel sick just typing that!

That's 8848m or 29029ft. This will be going up and down my stairs a total of 4424 times! I plan to complete this challenge from Friday 10th April - Sunday 12th April doing 3, 12 hour sessions going up and down once every 30 seconds continuously!

I will streaming the challenge through Facebook for support and so you can all share the event with me!

The more I think about this, the more gargantuan it seems, but I wanted to do something worthy of such an amazing woman who has influenced and will continue to influence my life in so many ways. Mother to my wife, Nanna to my babies and all around legend to anyone who ever had the pleasure of meeting her.
