We stand for everyone affected by dementia to find a cure

Story

To all our friends and family.......
This time last year our little world was turned upside down, again.!! Not even a year after my own crash course in #T1diabetes, Lucas was also diagnosed. I massively underestimated the strength and courage that this little boy had!!! Within the year he has managed to give himself his own medicine which, is no small feat. Doing something to yourself that you know is going to hurt is not easy for anyone let alone a 5 year old.
We are also extremely lucky to have had the support of the most amazing friends and family who have gone above and beyond for us. Diabetes gets in the way of everything but never stops us doing anything. Lucas is over half way through a #100milehallenge for which we run 1 mile every morning before school for 100 days no matter what the weather!!! He is raising money for #Alzheimers which my lovely mum battles with every single day, as does my dad who is THE most incredible person I have ever met.
It would be fantastic if you could spare any amount no matter how small....a little goes a long way.....to help us make a difference and #defeatdementia. I am extremely proud of this little man, not least because he has never once faltered ,asked not to do the run or tried to back out and believe me , some mornings, the weather has been extremely unkind.
Lucas has already raised nearly £100 on paper which is brilliant but we thought a just giving page would make it easier for those we don't see regularly. Thank you in advance. All our love xx
