Story
Thanks for visiting my page. I'm raising money for the British Heart Foundation's research and I'd be grateful for your support. The BHF have been a tremendous support to me since I had a heart attack in 2016 and I am keen to acknowledge their support as well as hopefully inspiring others who are facing the challenges of heart disease.
After an inauspicious start on the 1st January when my dog Lottie ran head first into a large boulder and knocked herself out, I've climbed North Berwick Law 300 times (as of 27th October) and so the challenge is well and truly on. At 614 feet high the Law stands guard over my home town of North Berwick and from the summit you can see for miles around. Strangely, climbing it doesn't seem to be getting any easier but it must have benefited my heart and I've met some amazing people over the year, many with their own stories to tell. I'm also now on first name terms with the famous ponies that live on the Law!
The BHF has helped halve the number of people dying from heart and circulatory disease in the UK but sadly every day hundreds of people lose their lives. It's only thanks to support from people like you that the BHF can create new treatments and discover new cures. £24 could pay for two hours of research by an early career scientist, but every pound helps so please give what you can to help me hit my target.
A million thanks for all your support as we strive onward and upwards in this crazy, wonderful world!
