Story
I may be completely nuts, but I have decided to take on a huge challenge throughout 2023 to fundraise for my wonderful hospital where I have worked for the last 3 1/2 years, Royal Manchester Children's Hospital.
I will be undertaking a different challenge every month throughout 2023. These range from 10k runs, to the London Marathon, a 50k ultra marathon and running for huge lengths of time/lots of miles in a week. Here is the list below...
- January - Tatton Park 10k - running ✅
- February - Great North West Half Marathon - running ✅
- March - MK 20 Miler - running ✅
- April - LONDON MARATHON - running ✅
- May - Great Manchester Run Half Marathon - running✅
- June - Yorkshire 3 Peaks - Hike ✅
- July - Races to the Stones 50k Ultramarathon - running ✅
- August - Walking the Jurassic Coast, 115 miles total - walking✅
- September - 4x4x48 - 4 Miles every 4 Hours for 48 Hours - running✅
- October - Amsterdam Marathon - running ✅
- November - Running 75 Miles in a week (averaging 10 miles a day) - running✅
- December - Running 5k a day - running✅
Each of these challenges will take a huge amount of dedication, resilience and commitment, however this is nothing compared to what some of the families who come into our care have to or have faced. Knowing that I'll be raising funds to go towards further care/facilities within the hospital will definitely keep me going!
Please consider donating whatever you can to this page - all funds go directly to Royal Manchester Children's Hospital, who I know will be incredibly grateful for the donations! If any of my lovely friends would like to join me on any of the challenges then please do - I will definitely need all of the support/help I can get, so the more the merrier!
Thank you and lots of love, Lauren xo
