Story

As many of you know my bike is my happy place, especially riding long distances across Dumfries & Galloway. Back in September 2021, I was diagnosed with blood cancer. Receiving a cancer diagnoses is a horrible thing for anyone and it took me sometime to come to terms with it. I decided to focus my mind on the things that make me happy and to continue riding my bike to get me by.

I am going to be doing a 1 day, 200 mile ride across Dumfries & Galloway to raise money and awareness for Blood Cancer UK. My plan is to do the ride between the 24th and the 31st of July so I can give some flexibility for bad weather. I will be posting updates about my route and as we get closer which I day plan to do it.

In our lifetime 1 in 2 of us will be affected by cancer and 240,000 people are currently living with blood cancer in the UK alone and I wanted to give something back to a charity that have been so helpful to me and help beat blood cancer.
