Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
Me and my family are running the London Marathon 2017 to raise awareness of retinoblastoma and funds for an amazing charity, The Childhood Eye Cancer Trust.
This charity do amazing work with families who have been affected with retinoblastoma. They have supported me and my son through the toughest time of our lives and I can only thank them for their outstanding work they do.
Just before Christmas 2011 my life was turn upside-down. My son Jamie at 2 years old was diagnosed with retinoblastoma (eye cancer). After having an enuculation (removal of his eye) in January 2012. My baby just two years old had a winding journey ahead, full of hospital appointments and adjusting to to his new eye. Now December 2016, 5 years from when my son was diagnosed with retinoblastoma, I have decided I need to give something back and there is no better way than the London Marathon.
CHECT is a non government funded charity so raising these funds will help them continue all the work they do and help they provide for families affected by retinoblastoma. This is our way of saying a huge thanks to the amazing people at The Royal London Hospital, Moorfields eye hospital and the fantastic people who work for Chect. Keep doing your amazing job.
We are so grateful for your donations, it really is a fantastic charity, which helped me and my family so much during this devastating time. Thank you for your support!
