Support Operation Ocelot

Christmas Fayre Bottle Caps Decorations · 22 November 2021
We are Juliet, Ember and Emily, three very determined eco - warriors in Year 3 at Halstead Preparatory School who took it upon ourselves to make a change!
We have been inspired by Sir David Attenborough and absolutely loved watching "A Perfect Planet". Emily still has tears in her eyes when thinking about the baby flamingo!
We have been very busy turning used bottle caps into lovely Christmas decorations, hoping to raise money for Operation Ocelot! We will be selling our Christmas decorations at SJB Christmas Market on Friday 26th November and also at Knaphill Christmas Market on Saturday 27th November in the hope to raise enough money to save exactly 10,500 squared metres of rainforest!
We would like to thank the Cricketers pub in Horsell and Nag's Head pub in Knaphill who responsed to Juliet's letter and collected a total of 821 bottle caps for us. We would also like to thank SJB Christmas Market and Knaphill Christmas Market for allowing us to sell our decorations.
We will also be organising a raffle during the Christmas Fayres with some very exciting prizes, including: Polly pocket surprise, Sammies bag by Samsonite, Twister game, Gubs game, a set of Domino, Perfume slime, an art set, cute bracelet charms and even a "Golden ticket Chocolate Factory experience" for a very lucky winner and their friend!
We will also be writing to different organisations and supermarkets in the UK in case they would like to purchase some of our decorations for their Christmas trees. We will be happy to deliver or even post them.
The amazing selection of games, bags, arts and crafts have kindly been donated by Ember and her family.
The Golden Ticket experiences have been kindly donated by two very generous chocolate factories: Rosie's Chocolate Factory in Wargrave and Chocolate Factory Hawkshead in response to Juliet's letter asking chocolate factories in the UK if they could recreate Charlie and the Chocolate Factory story as inspired by our drama class in school.
This year, we can help World Land Trust (WLT) save Laguna Grande, the tropical home of more than 700 species and a major carbon sink of Caribbean Guatemala.
By supporting Operation Ocelot you will help fund the three-fold expansion of the Laguna Grande Reserve, from 1,668 to nearly 5,000 acres. This is an area that has already lost 80% of its lowland forest but with your help, together we can make sure the destruction of nature doesn't go any further.
We would like to say a big thank you to everyone for their support!
