We help stroke survivors to find strength through support.

Story

At the end of 2016 one of my best friends had a series of strokes. It was a huge shock to all his family and friends as he was only in his mid-thirties.

Thankfully, due to his determination, the support of his family and friends and the amazing care he received from staff in the NHS he is making a remarkable recovery.

The Stroke Association helps those affected and their families so I decided to take on a personal challenge and try to raise some money for them.

On the 23rd of June 2018 I'm going to attempt to ride the whole 127 mile length of the Leeds - Liverpool Canal in one day.

Stroke is sudden and devastating, striking every five minutes in the UK. It can take away your speech, your ability to walk, your memory and your independence. Please have a look at the Stroke Association's website for more information about the support they provide: https://www.stroke.org.uk/what-we-do/about-us

Currently they are only able to provide support to 50% of stroke survivors across the UK. With people like you raising much-needed funds the Stroke Association can help even more people.

The Stroke Association believe in life after stroke. That’s why they support stroke survivors to make the best recovery they can. They campaign for better stroke care and fund research into finding new treatments and ways of preventing stroke. You are helping them to change lives and prevent stroke.
