Story

Hello! Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In April 2019, I will be running my first (and possibly only!) marathon...that's 26.2 miles!! I'm excited to have got a place in the famous and iconic London Marathon, which I will be running in memory of my sister, Janis.

Janis sadly passed away when she was only 3 years old after a battle with cancer. I was only 5 years old at the time, and even though over 20 years has passed, I still remember our trips to Rainbows. As well as ensuring Janis was looked after and having fun, they also ensured I was included and my parents had a chance to rest. Even after Janis passed away, I recall the constant support Rainbows offered to my parents and me for years after.

The impact Rainbows made in mine and my family's life is still very strong.
I cherish this opportunity to run in my sister's memory and hope to raise as much money as I can for Rainbows, so they can continue this amazing work for any family who needs it.

Thank you for taking the time to visit my page and read my story and I greatly appreciate any contributions you can make - big or small! They will all spur me on towards the finish line!
