Story

Hi.  I'm Jamie and I'm a mountaineer and a quadaruple amputee (I don't have hands or feet).  Since I can't currently go out on any real mountains, I have decided to spend a few days of lockdown attempting to climb the height of Mount Everest (8850m) at home.  I'll be using the stairs in my house, various steps inside and outside in the garden, and anything else I can find to climb.

The climb is going to involve going up and down about 45000 steps in total and, all being well, I'm hoping to complete the challenge in about 4 or 5 days.

I cannot say how much the NHS has helped me out over the years, so please wish me luck, give some money to a fantastic cause if you can, and follow the updates I'll be posting here and on social media over the next few days.

Thanks!!
