Story
I have decided to take on another fundraising challenge for Albion in the Community. As the charity's official ambassador I have not only benefited from its work but also regularly see the fantastic impact it has on people across Sussex. It is an amazing charity that works with more than 30,000 people every year.
Much of its work is in the area of football for people with a disability and the charity runs 25 regular sessions, attended by more than 250 people. These sessions can be expensive to run so I have set myself a number of challenges that I am determined to complete before the end of the football season to help raise money for the charity.
These challenges include:
- Clocking up 26.2 miles - the equivalent of a full marathon - on the recumbent upper body stepper exercise machine.
- 1,000 lateral pull downs.
- 1,000 chest presses.
- 1,000 bicep curls.
- 110 punches in one minute on the boxing pads.
In order to complete my challenge by the time Brighton & Hove Albion play their last home game of the season, I am going to need to go to the gym two or three times a week and steadily increase the amount I am able to do each time.
It will be tough - but I will do it!
If you are able to, please sponsor me and help me help Albion in the Community continue to provide football opportunities to people with a disability.
