Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

12 months ago we planned to raise £5000 to name a dog in Dad's memory. Today, as the JustGiving page closes you amazing people have not only done that but you have smashed it and the total raised as of today is £10,695!!! That is a massive 213% of the original target!! THANK YOU!!
As some of you will know we are not going to stop here!
Puppy Raleigh, as with all the Hounds for Heroes dogs, has a life time cost of around £40k/dog so there is plenty of work to do!!
There are still 900,000 service men and women in this country that need help and support
Donations going forward can be made at WWW.HOUNDSFORHEROES.COM quoting RALEIGH.... or in cash of course!
Massive thanks to those people who have and still are supporting us... You know who you are... to #houndsforheroes for letting us "run with it"
and finally to ALLEN "DOLLY" PARTON for creating a charity that does so much good - these dogs really do save lives!!!
WE HAVE DONE IT!! THANKS TO YOUR GENEROSITY THERE WILL BE A HOUNDS FOR HEROES GOLDEN RETRIEVER PUPPY NAMED "RALEIGH" IN MEMORY OF MY DAD!!
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you! BUT....
We are not going to stop here... We are going to set a new target of £35,000 to pay for the training and lifelong care of Raleigh.
This page will stay open until 1st February 2020 and then we will set up a page for Raleigh as soon as he joins a squadron.
If you know of anyone who may benefit from a Hounds for Heroes assistance dog please contact the charity, details are on their website.
Please don't stop giving... these amazing dogs save lives!
Following the unexpected death of my dad, Brian Hall, we wanted to do "something" in his memory... Our family has always had an affinity to dogs and so some kind of assistance dog was an easy choice.... We have a long history of Police service and Nursing within the family... A Grandad, two aunts, an uncle and a brother all ex-police officers, me, a nurse and ex-RAF, the Hubster is a serving WO2 Submariner and, if that wasn't enough, my dad was a Dog Handler in the army during his national service, not to mention a lifelong dog owner.
So, when I came across "Hounds for Heroes" it was a perfect fit.... A charity that provides assistance dogs for both Military and Emergency service personnel.... please do visit their website and see the amazing work they do....
£5k will go towards supporting a pup and if possible allow us to name a dog in Dad's memory...
Thank you for looking at my page and for any support no matter how small you can give.
