*COVID-19 UPDATE*
We are monitoring the evolving situation of the coronavirus pandemic, as it currently stands our bike ride will be commencing on Friday 25th September and finishing on Monday 28th September 2020.
Thank you for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
After a six month battle with cancer, we sadly lost our Dad (Ian Jukes) on 1st January 2020. As you can imagine, this year has been an incredibly difficult and emotional time for our family, compounded by the COVID-19 pandemic and associated distancing measures.
Cancer is a devastating disease, which affects most of us at some point during our lives. Our experience, and that of so many others that we have spoken to over these past few months, has motivated us to set this endurance challenge to help us raise money and make a contribution to Cancer Research UK. This is a charity close to our hearts and their pioneering work into the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of cancer helps save millions of lives every year.
We wanted to really push ourselves, so we will be attempting to cycle from our family home in Birmingham to Steve's home in London (175 miles) over a period of four days. We will be starting in Halesowen (West Midlands) and finishing in Lewisham (south east London) by cycling the length of the Grand Union canal and staying overnight in Warwick, Milton Keynes and Uxbridge (the glamour!). We will be following this precise route:

Our training together this year has been heavily impacted by the lockdown caused by COVID-19. However, individually we are slowly (but surely!) training up to complete this project. Our training regime started in March this year in the hope that we can complete our challenge this Autumn.
Any contribution, large or small will be gratefully appreciated. Hopefully we will make our Dad proud.
Together we will beat cancer.
