Story
Staying at a Brighton hotel last February, I went out for a morning run and got caught up in a throng gearing up for the half marathon. (That's a throng, not a thong). Returning to the hotel, the receptionist asked if I was doing the run today and I sheepishly said 'no'. From that innocent conversation, I rashly resolved to do it next year... which is now. Peter says I won't enjoy it - it'll be rowdy and crowded and nothing like my little solitary outings with John Grant on the headphones. Peter may be right but I'm doing it anyway.
I'm running to raise funds for the Sussex Beacon, who organise the Grand Brighton Half Marathon every year. It's a fantastic local charity that provides care and support for adults and children living with HIV. I hope you'll help me to help them too.
