We raise funds to enhance local NHS care to improve the experience of our patients

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I've decided to swim 10km in Windermere on 9th June 2019 for the County Durham and Darlington NHS Trust Charity to try and make a difference for my local NHS. They are always there for us when we need them most, so I hope to raise some money to show that we are there for our local NHS when they need us too. We only tend to think of the NHS when we ourselves need their help, for our families or friends, the charity helps with the provision of medical equipment, products, services or education that would not be available to the NHS other than through charitable giving. The work they do helps improve the lives of thousands of patients in our community, raising funds to buy a host of things; from MRI scanners to small hand-held equipment like bladder scanners, or painting murals onto the walls in the children's A&E department to brighten the place up or comfortable seating. Pat Chambers and the team make a huge difference wherever they're working. So please dig deep and give what you can to help your local NHS.
