Story
GHA 1XV player Grant “The Mullet” Mollison has pledged to
finally shave off his signature blonde locks on Saturday 19th March in
aid of Chest, Heart &Stroke Scotland and in honour of our dear club member, player and 'Internationally' Famous GHA Gazelle, Stevie Burns.
Stevie, affectionately known as Asbo, died suddenly of a heart attack almost 2 years ago on 1st April 2020. Although not from what you would call a traditional Rugby family, Stevie was passionate about the game both as a player and a coach. He had a particular interest in developing woman’s Rugby and coached ladies’ teams in both Scotland and England. A larger than life ‘Diamond in the rough’ he made a huge impact as a coach, a teammate, and a friend. He is still sorely missed by those of us lucky enough to have known him.
In Stevie’s honour, we are asking all of our GHA members, supporters
players past and present, and anyone who knew Stevie to give whatever they can in support of Grant as he kicks-off the club’s fundraising efforts for Chest, Heart & Stroke Scotland ahead of the Internationally Famous GHA Gazelles Testimonial Touch Tournament on Saturday 11th June 2022.
