Hello,
My name is Gennaro and on the 18th August 2018 my Mum (Cheryl, 54) was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease (MND). MND is a rapidly progressing terminal illness, which stops signals from the brain reaching the muscles. MND takes its own course, but the disease may cause someone to lose the ability to walk, talk, eat, drink or breathe unaided. But, not everyone will experience all of the symptoms. Mum fought a strong battle against this horrible disease but her fight came to an end on the 18th of December 2018
MND Scotland has been so supportive with my Mum. So I’ve set myself a huge challenge to raise money for this charity, to give something back and help find a cure for this awful disease.
I’ll start the cycle on the 24th of July 2019 and it will be spread over 4 days where I’ll cover a distance of 311 miles approx. I’ll start off in London to Calais then from Calais to Arras, Arras to Compiegne and finish off from Compiegne to Paris.
My target was 1,600 but absolutely smashed that in a day from so many generous people. Now, my target is 10,000. This will be a massive help. Hopefully one step closer to finding a cure for the future.
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page and I appreciate all donations.
Thank you,
Gennaro.
