Story

I am looking at setting up an attempt to run the Deeside railway and Formartine and Buchan railway linked together in one go total distance of around 123 miles within 24 hour period

It is the old decommissioned railway sections in Aberdeen and Aberdeen shire, I'm looking at starting at the Ballater station and run to Aberdeen train station along the Deeside line moving through the city Centre handrailing the current railway sections towards Dyce station and the moving onto the Formartine and Buchan railway line which will take me all the to Maud railway station

Maud station used to cut off and two lines separated to link in Fraser burgh and Peterhead I will continue on to Fraser burgh and the come back on myself to Maud and then off to finish in Peterhead

I'm planning this event on 18th September 2021 the famous Highlanders weekend

As far as I'm aware no one has run this before and this should be the first time its done.

I am an experienced ultra runner but this will be the furthest I've ran in one go, I will hopefully be racing the great glen ultra in July which is 72 miles and this will hopefully set me up well for this challenge

Mental health has been close to me it means quite a bit to myself as I'm an ex veteran also and seen what mental health and other struggles friends and family have gone through and had the unfortunate of losing friends along the way, I myself have had my own struggles and my immediate family are going through some hard times just now

So its very important to me to try and reach out to others that we have all some sort of mental health problems and reaching out can help

You will be able to follow my progress and training leading up to the event my strava profile has been linked to the just giving page

And company would be awesome o if your up for some miles get in touch nearer the time or follow my progress and join along where you can
