Story
I am a recent convert to the concept of running, but i really rather enjoy it. On 22 April 2018, I will be dragging my fragile frame around 26.2 miles of London's iconic Marathon route. I'm very much looking forward to it, but I also want to raise a lot of money for a small charity that helps vulnerable adults in London's East End.
Many of you will know the work I do, and how I regularly help vulnerable adults who are victims of nothing more than "circumstance". Caritas Anchor House is a charity which helps single homeless people in East London. It provides education and training, and restores the self esteem for those in immense need.
Caritas Anchor House is very successful at what it does. You can find out more by checking out their website at www.caritasanchorhouse.org.uk.
There are so many charities around, all of which do fantastic work. I wanted to run for a charity which is perhaps less well known, but the fantastic and important work they do cannot be underestimated. I'm very proud to run for this organisation and hope to raise much needed funds to help those in need in one of London's most deprived boroughs.
I really would be very grateful for any donations, I am hugely appreciative of the support.
Thanks
Gav
