Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

The Gangsta Grannies are 2 grandmothers from Dorset who are undertaking a mammoth swimming challenge In August 2016. Together they are swimming from Dover, England to France and back again just the 2 of them. They are swimming with the pilot Paul Foreman on his boat the Optimist and taking it in turns for 2 hours each until they get there.

This will be a massive undertaking and they have been training hard for 3 years for this feat. Please support our chosen charity BCHA and monies raised will go to the Women's Refuge in Bournemouth and will be spent on a specific thing rather than just go in the pot. The Gangsta Grannies want to provide a lovely family day out for these vulnerable women and children so they can forget all their troubles even if it's just for one day. This is something that these families cannot normally be able to do so we want to make their day a happy and fun filled one just like many of us take for granted.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
