Story
Until I was 18 I used to go and stay some days and nights and do fun things with Harpenden Mencap. It was good.
There are no more children there but they still looking after adults who live there all the time as well as other things to help people with a learning disability.
I want to help them because all the staff looked after me and helped my family.
I have done other runs already and now want to do this St Albans Half Marathon. We might run or walk - it all depend how slow my Dad is and how many hills I have to push him up ! Next year we do a marathon......
Thank you for helping me - again!
Note from Dad:
Like all local Mencap charities Harpenden Mencap is affiliated to Royal Mencap, but get no funding from them. They are a totally self funded local charity and need donations to to enable them help and support those in the local community with a learning disability - and their families.
