Story
My grandpa was a bit of a legend on the sports field. Army boxing champion, leicester flanker, promising side car racer and free from work commitments, he would have been an olympic oarsman.
I knew him in his twilight when golf was centre stage - with him beating me regularly! He embodied everything that is good about sport - fiercely competitive whilst equally humerous and generous.
His life came to a natural end nearly three years ago, having suffered from Parkinson's Disease for several. This run is dedicated to his memory and his inspiration.
