On Monday 28th August myself, Callum and his lovely family will be running the St Rocco's Colour Run in honour of my beautiful mum Julie and we'd really appreciate your support!

My mum was welcomed into St Rocco's Hospice in August of last year. For many people when they hear the word hospice it conjures up a rather gloomy image, but this couldn't be further from the truth. St Rocco's is a wonderful place full of life, laughter and endless cups of tea (and plenty of cake!). The fabulous nurses, carers and volunteers became friends who were always there to lend an ear and for my family, the hospice became a safe haven where we could all talk openly and provide support for each other. But most importantly St Rocco's provided a home for my mum in her final weeks, a place where she felt comfortable, a place where she was always treated with the upmost dignity and her wishes always respected. It provided a place for me to sleep when I couldn't leave her and a beautiful space for us to spend our final times together.

St Rocco's provides support for all life limiting illnesses and they're available every step of the way whether it be in the hospice, over the phone or via its outpatient services. But St Rocco's needs your help! They rely so heavily on funding from people like you so get donating! St Rocco's will always be a special place for my family and I so please help us provide funding so that other families can receive the much needed support that this hospice offers.
