We fund research and raise awareness to transform treatments and survival rates

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page, and thank you for your donation however small or large!

I am raising money for Nicky Ellis, my mum's best friend, business partner and family friend of over 20 years was diagnosed with stage 3C and grade 3 ovarian cancer last July. She is one of the most caring and inspirational people I have ever met. She’s always been so full of life and would always put a smile on your face!

Nicky has been involved in many fundraising efforts for other charities so this is a way I would like to honour her tireless contributions by raising money for a charity that works with people with this disease so that hopefully in the future other people will be diagnosed earlier and have better treatment options than Nicky does at the moment.

Nicky and my mother set up Hobbs rehabilitation, an exceptional neuro rehabilitation provider that has helped hundreds of different people and their families with neurological illnesses and disease. Without Nicky’s incredibly caring nature, her ambition and vision, Hobbs’ would not have been able to provide help and change so many lives.

I'll do my best to honour Nicky and make it around the course as best I can! Your donations will help fund research and raise awareness for this horrible disease that affects many women. Keep an eye on my Strava for my training progress!

Love bubz xx

We are the UK’s leading ovarian cancer research charity. In the UK only 1 in 3 women live more than 10 years after diagnosis. We are working to better prevent, treat and detect ovarian cancer, so that by 2032 at least half of women with ovarian cancer live for 10 years.
