Hi everyone,

This October I will be running the Royal Parks Half Marathon for the Charity I work for, Learn to Love to Read. 

27% of children left primary school in 2019 unable to read at the expected level and it is estimated that there are nine million working aged adults in England with low literacy or numeracy skills or both. Sadly, this number is increasing every year, and has been drastically accelerated by the impact of COVID-19 on education. 

Our work is designed to address these literacy inequalities, aiming to tackle literacy inequality in early childhood by providing volunteer-based support to local schools, Early Years classes for parents and families and equipping and engaging parents to be able to support their child with their reading.

Donations are vital to support the work we do, supporting Early Years, KS1 and KS2 children with their reading and making a real difference in their lives.
