We fund ICU equipment and training to improve the care of the critically ill

Story

During the first week of September the 3 of us will be swimming to France... The distance will be from 34km (21miles) upwards, depending on conditions/piloting skills(!) and we will be doing this as a relay, one hour in, 2 hours out.

Our main challenges will be the cold (brrrrrr, no wetsuits allowed..!!), jelly fish, dodging ferries/tankers/ships, choppy waters and quite possibly starting or finishing in the dark (spooky)..

We are doing this as a fun challenge as we love swimming in the open water, but are also using this as an opportunity to raise some money for Spring Intensive Care.

We will be doing many training swims, mostly on the Devon & Cornish south coast - if you fancy joining us/laughing at us shrieking as we get in... get in touch!

You will be able to track our swim (we are the Devonport Ninjas, named after our masters swimming club in Plymouth).. visit either http://www.channelswimmingassociation.com/tracking/ or http://cspf.co.uk
