My name is Denis and I served with the 16th/5th Lancers Regiment during the 2nd World War out in North Africa and Italy where I was a Radio Controller on the tanks.

I have most certainly been inspired by Captain Tom's Story and wanted to undertake my own challenge. with my Zimmer frame too so that I could raise money for my local Hospice and the wonderful work that they do in the Community. I have just 83 days to go until my Birthday however if the weather is fine I aim to walk this for 4 times a day and will share my progress with you all with photos and videos.

Please donate anything that you can spare, my own daughter works both on the Great Oaks Hospice at Home Team where their nurses are still out in the  local Community looking after patients 24 hours 7 days a week and their Out Reach Team where volunteers are still ringing those who feel isolated and need someone to chat to.
