Story
David, who will turn 89 on 7th March, is a much loved husband, father and grandfather who like many hasn't set foot outside since last summer.
Having had both of his vaccine jabs, he will now be attempting to walk (more like dawdle) 100 miles before the end of April.
This isn't a challenge trying to compete with the late Captain Tom, and his walk laps of his garden, or the impressive Atlantic Rowing Challenge completed recently by 70 year old, Frank Rothwell, but a personal challenge to raise money for a great cause. Alzheimer is a disease that affects or had affected members of his family, as well as millions worldwide and just under a million in the UK.
