Story
This year i am taking part in a 5km walk of hope in memory of my Mum, who sadly passed away in July after battling and suffering with a very aggressive Grade 4 Glioblastoma for two and a half years.
I know times are very difficult, but i am asking anyone reading this to please donate anything you can, every single pound really does count and if it helps just one individual to not have to go through and endure the torture my Mum, Myself and my dad have experienced, then it is worth everything, BELIEVE ME.
Abhorrently, just ONE PERCENT of the national spend on cancer reaearch goes towards this devastating disease that quite literally changes and ruins lives forever. Only 12% of Brain Tumour patients survive beyond 5 years after diagnosis.
I will be joined by my fantastic coaching team, Dylan, Emily, Charlotte and Keira and we would like to raise as many funds as possible to help fight the uphill battle against this devastating ilness. Along the way we would also like to help raise as much awareness as possible.
I miss my mum so much it hurts and I always promised her that i would continue to raise awareness and help fund the fight, so thats exactly what we are doing.
Brain Tumours can and do affect anyone at any age at any time and the effect it has on both the sufferer and their close family and friends is impossible to describe.
Brain Tumours are NOT just another type of cancer, they are so much more!!
THANK YOU,
DAN xx
